Meditation

Out of all the places I visit, I find the most peace near the Pacific.
The most beautiful places are often the most difficult to reach and are as such infrequently trafficked. A spot alone, with my camera gear, along with a subject to contemplate. I might spend a few hours in the same place waiting for the right light—waiting for the waves to move in the most aesthetically pleasing way in that moment. It’s always a negotiation between what I think would be the most aesthetically pleasing scene and what nature provides. The actuation of the shutter is a silent acceptance of what is. I’m sure there is a life lesson here.
If my photographs move you, prints are available for purchase.
Thank you for taking the time to look through my portfolio.
